the idea of this project is inspired by the American Society of Mechanical Engineer (ASME) 2016 student competition. The task was to build a machine that fold A4 standard paper into a specific paper airplane design and launch it. This project is divided into three sections: Machine frame /paper loading, folding mechanism, and paper launcher. In this research, the folding mechanism will be discussed and analyzed. However, the paper-folding machine consists of two stages. The top corner of the paper will be fold 45 degrees in stage one. In order to achieved that, two levers are installed 45 degrees from the center of the paper tray, and connected to two motors that rotate them to fold the paper. Then, the paper will move to the second stage where the wings will be formed using a T-shape plate that lowers and push the center of the paper into a groove.
